Stephanie de Ruijt

Where were you born? I was born in the hospital in Amstelveen, together with my twin sister.

Do you have children? Yes, I have one daughter of 5 years old and a son of 2 years old.

Where did you give birth? I gave birth at the Dijklander Hospital both times. I wanted to give birth on an outpatient basis both times, but with our daughter it turned out to be a medical birth. Fortunately, midwife Susanne was allowed to continue to lead the birth, which was very nice. Coincidentally, she was also at the birth of our son.

Where and when did you graduate? I first studied Commercial Economics at the HES in Amsterdam. I then successfully completed the Masters in Marketing at the VU.

Why did you become management assistent at ‘kraamzorg’? I worked in the media industry for many years, but I wanted to work in the health sector. I already knew Eva van Hoorn from my pregnancies and it seemed like a nice organization to work for. This position appealed to me because it is very varied and versatile.

Since when do you work for Eva van Hoorn? I have been working at Eva van Hoorn since October 2022 and I am really enjoying it.

What do you think is the strength of Eva van Hoorn? That you can come to Eva van Hoorn for everything related to your pregnancy: midwife appointments, ultrasounds and maternity care. We are a close small team and have short lines of communication with each other.

What do you prefer to do in your free time? I really enjoy doing fun and spontaneous things with our family and friends. In addition, time for yourself is also very important so I love exercising 3 times a week.
