Where were you born? At home in Lutjebroek.
Do you have children? I have 2 children.
Where did you give birth? I gave birth in the Dijklander Hospital twice, through a c-section.
Where and when did you graduate? After highschool I followed an education to become a nurse. After I graduated in 1990 I started at a very nice job in the maternity / obstetrics department in the Westfriesgasthuis! I worked there for 10 years, with great pleasure, and during that time I also obtained the specialization in obstetrics and gynaecology.
Why did you become an assistant? I had an affinity with obstetrics, but because of my family the irregularity in nursing didn’t appeal to me anymore… When I was approached to apply for an assistant at Eva van Hoorn, I didn’t have to think twice!
Since when do you work at Eva van Hoorn? I joined Eva van Hoorn in 2009.
What do you think is the strength of Eva van Hoorn? Eva van Hoorn is a great organization and has short lines of communication with the Dijklander Hospital.
What makes you happy? Many (little) things make me happy. I think it’s nice to hear when people look back on our care with satisfaction after 9 months.
What do you prefer to do in your free time? I really enjoy my free time, I like gardening, walking and reading.
